About the RENEWL Program
Rapid • Effective • Natural • Evidence‑Based Weight Loss
The RENEWL program (Rapid, Effective, Natural, Evidence-Based Weight Loss) was developed by Dr. Charles O. Frazier, MD, FAAFP, a board-certified family physician and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has spent decades in clinical practice and training physicians, caring for adults with obesity, metabolic disease, and related conditions.
RENEWL is based on an idea Dr. Frazier named the "14-Day Step & Stack Method," in which you adopt a new, research-backed nutrition or behavior change every two weeks. Over time, these steps "stack" into a sustainable routine,
Studies show that habit-building takes different amounts of time for different people and different behaviors. On average, a habit may take around 66 days to feel more automatic (Lally et al., 2010; Singh et al., 2024). Rather than waiting that long before making another improvement, Dr. Frazier designed RENEWL so you can make steady progress every two weeks while continuing to maintain the earlier habits.
The goal is to help you develop a set of proven, realistic habits that support weight loss -- and to keep your body moving forward in a way that may help reduce the "plateaus" that frustrate so many people.
